Full-Length Classes Started on Monday, August 29
We'll tap, rap, and clap to the music, as we meet new friends, renew old friendships, and set sail for a great new year. Plan to join us this fall as we bop to the beat and float with the melody--DANCE MAGIC!

The most important "stars" to grace our stage are our very own students, from "little ones" taking their first steps on stage to our seasoned veterans as they confidently display the beauty of their strength and the power of their grace. Way to go team!

Register Now For the 2011-2012 Season! Bring Your Friends!
Fall classes started Monday, August 29 and class scheduling began July 15! You can save $5 by paying your registration fee now!
1 Call our main office (277-8333) Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
2. E-mail us at info@bettyhilldance.com stating your dancer's name and school grade next year. We'll call or e-mail you back with options.
3. Fill out an information request on our "Contact Us" page, and we'll get back to you with the info you need.
We Accept Credt Card Payments!
As a further service to our customers, we accept credit cards! If you'd like to charge your payment, stop in or call our Windsor Office, weekdays between 9 am and 5 pm. Peggy or Debbie will be happy to help you!

Did You See Us Dance At The Iowa State Fair?
Dance Campers performed at the Iowa State Fair on Sunday, August 14. Our older students, "The Betty Hill Dancers," and our younger students, the “Dance Magic Kids," entertained at the Susan Knapp Amphitheater, with our Kids show at 8:00 am and our Junior-Seniors at 8:45 am. Performing at the State Fair has become an annual tradition and is a great way for our dance families to end the summer. Bop While You Shop at Merle Hay and Valley West Malls!
Make sure you check out our photos from our performances at area malls this summer. Our Dance Magic Kids Betty Hill Dancers performed at Merle Hay Mall on Sunday, August 7 with our Kids at 1:00 and our Junior-Seniors at 2:00 p.m. We also performed at Valley West Mall on Saturday afternoon, August 13, with Kids at 1:00 and Junior-Seniors at 2:00 p.m.
We love performing at Merle Hay and Valley West Malls, blending our kids and junior-seniors style into an eclectic mix of upbeat, high-energy dances. We get rave reviews from our families and friends during the summer, and hope you were able to see us! It's great family entertainment! For summer vacation fun, our DANCE CAMP is one of our most popular programs. This summer we had five one-week sessions for students from pre-school through high school.
"Dance Diva" Camp for Primary Grades 1, 2, 3
Monday-Friday, July 11-15, 1:00-4:00; $47.50 (plus tax)
"Princess" Camp for Beginning Grades Preschool and Kindergarten
Monday-Friday, July 18-22, 9:30-12:00; $42.50 (plus tax)
"Rock Star" Camp for Intermediate Grades 4, 5, 6
Monday-Friday, July 18-22, 1:00-4:30; $52.50 (plus tax)
"Be A Star" Camp for Junior Senior Grades 7 through 12
Monday-Friday, July 25-29, 9:30-4:00; $85.00 (plus tax)
"Be A Star" Camp for Junior Senior Grades 7 through 12
Monday-Friday, August 1-5, 9:30-4:00; $85.00 (plus tax)

June 15, 2011 Dance Flash : Dancin' in the Summertime!
  
Dance, Dance, Dance in the Summertime!
Evening sessions were a hit this summer as students, both new and veteran, tried out new classes, kept up their skills during the summer, and met new friends. We offered June and July sessions in Preschool, Combination, and Hip Hop! Our relaxed dress code was a perfect match for carefree summer and our happy classes!

Preschool Dance was great for 3 and 4 year olds who wanted to see what dance is like, and was a great way to build skills that will help their transition to Pre K and Kindergarten. Classes were held at all three locations and were 30 minutes! $30 (plus tax) for four classes.

Combination Dance gave our 5 to 7 year olds a chance to experience tap, ballet, and tumbling in a 45 minute class. Our young dancers gained agility and rhythm from tap, grace and coordination from ballet, and strength and flexibility from tumbling. $35 (plus tax) for four classes.

Hip Hop has become a popular choice for dancers of all ages. Our studio crew brought out summer students the excitement of this style while keeping it clean and appropriate for kids. Our cool moves to hot tunes are a great way to experience the hip hop vibe. $35 (plus tax) for four classes.
Our June Session was: Monday and Wednesday, starting June 13 at WDM
Tuesday and Thursday, starting June 14 at Windsor and at SDM.
Our July Session: Monday and Wednesday, starting July 11 at WDM
Tuesday and Thursday, starting July 12 at Windsor and at SDM.

Congratulations, Graduating Seniors!
We couldn't be prouder of our graduating seniors, Nick, Rachel, John, Gabby, Matt, and Kylie! They've grown into confident, dynamic performers and really terrific people, and we wish them well as they take their next steps on their life's journey. Bravo, Graduates! (Kylie is not pictured.)

June 12, 2011 Dance Flash: It's Performance Weekend!
 
The Magic of Dance--June, 2011--From Babies to Broadway!
That's the diversity we brought to the Greater Des Moines Civic Center Friday and Saturday, June 10th and 11th, for Dance Magic 2011. Terrific tap, beautiful ballet, and jammin' jazz were the main bill of fare, with an assortment of lyrical, modern, pom, dance cheer, acrobatics, partnering, pointe, and hip hop rounding out this year's celebration of dance and music.
Boys and girls age 3 to 18 strutted their stuff, rapped and tapped, and bounced to the beat with faces bright and smiles blazing, as families, friends, and fans cheered them on and applauded their success--our 32nd year at the Civic Center and our 56th year of Dance Magic. Bravo, Dancers!
